Scholarships
One World Surgery offers limited, need-based program fee and flights scholarships for volunteers who meet the following criteria:
- At least 1 year of paid experience as a pre-op nurse, PACU nurse, circulating nurse, or surgical tech/scrub nurse
- Circulating nurses and surgical techs/scrub nurses must have experience in at least 1 of the surgical specialties on their requested mission
- Currently licensed or certified and working in the field (required for nurses, preferred for surgical techs/scrub techs)
- Opening for your profession/role on requested trip date(s)

The Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (ASCA) sponsors a limited number of program fee and flight scholarships for ASCA members filling certain clinical roles on One World Surgery medical missions. To apply for a scholarship, complete the scholarship application form when submitting your medical mission application.
The Association for Surgical Technologists (AST) and Foundation for Surgical Technology reimburse medical mission trip costs for AST members who fill clinical roles on medical missions. View the application and eligibility here (navigate to the ‘I have already served’ section).
The following companies offer program fee scholarships for employees to participate in our medical missions. Program fee scholarships are automatically applied for eligible employees.
Surgical Care Affiliates (SCA) Health
The following companies offer program fee and/or flight scholarships for a limited number of employees to participate in our medical missions. Scholarships are awarded through a selection process. Contact your company directly for more information.
Fundraising
