Yoheli is a 21-year-old Dominican woman living in Quisqueya, Sector La Loma, a Municipality in San Pedro de Macoris. She lives with her parents, has two brothers, and studies Industrial Psychology at O&M University.
When she was 16 years-old, Yoheli visited an ophthalmologist who discovered Keratoconus, an eye abnormality.
“The years following my diagnosis were the most difficult moments in my life. I constantly had a headache and pain in my eyes. It was difficult for me to differentiate faces from a distance and go about my daily routine.”
After approaching OWS, she received a pair of Atlantis contact lenses.
