“My Brother’s Keeper”

Milton, a 30-year-old man from Honduras, was living with a growing inguinal hernia that caused him increasing pain and discomfort. This pain grew significantly over time and led to a limited scope of ability with regards to daily activities.

With no formal education and limited resources, he relied on his brother for physical and financial support throughout his health battle. Seeking help, Milton’s brother turned to One World Surgery (OWS), drawn by positive accounts from friends and neighbors who had received exceptional surgical care there.

In January 2023, Milton had his first appointment with OWS, where a diagnosis of a right inguinal hernia was confirmed. Healthcare professionals immediately put a plan of action in place, to aid symptoms. A few days later Milton underwent a successful surgery, setting him on a path toward a healthier life.

After the procedure, Milton and his brother are optimistic about a future free from pain, where he can lead a more fulfilling life.
