Brighter Horizons: How One World Surgery Restored Josselin’s Vision

Meet Josselin, a resilient 28-year-old struggling with cataracts, a condition that had plagued her since childhood.

Josselin works in the customer service sector of a pharmacy and as a university intern. She has taken on the responsibility of providing financial support to her immediate family, which includes her mother, sister, and grandmother. Their livelihoods depend on her, adding a significant weight to her shoulders.

Josselin’s battle with cataracts began when she was just seven years old. Her vision deteriorated over the years, and her family sought medical intervention, which led to her using specialized glasses. As time passed, her condition worsened, and a specialist recommended cataract surgery. However, the cost of the procedure was prohibitively high, leaving Josselin in despair.

Desperate for a solution, Josselin began a quest for alternatives. It was during this challenging time that she discovered One World Surgery. The organization’s commitment to providing medical care to those in need resonated with her, and she reached out for a medical evaluation. OWS responded swiftly, and on June 2nd, and over the course of several months, she underwent cataract surgeries that transformed her life. The improvement in her vision was nothing short of remarkable, filling her with newfound hope.

When asked about how her life has changed as a result of the surgery, Josselin shared, “My vision has noticeably improved, and that has allowed me to improve my performance at work. My main worry was that I would lose my job due to the issues I had with my vision, but that doesn’t worry me anymore. I am very surprised with the results.”

Expressing her gratitude, Josselin added, “I am very happy and gracious to OWS. I am improving every day at my job and in my daily activities. I truly want to give my thanks to OWS for giving me the hope I needed. I am very gracious.”
